Terms of Service
Effective date: 2026-05-04
1. Provider and Scope
These terms apply to the use of ParaBook.cloud, a web-based service for managing, analyzing and displaying paragliding flight data.
2. Service Description
ParaBook provides features such as IGC file upload and processing, logbook functionality, map views, statistics, equipment management, XC Planner, Task Creator, premium features and competition, WPRS and forecast functionality.
Features may be developed, replaced, changed or restricted as long as the essential character of the service is preserved.
3. Registration and Account
- Users must provide accurate contact details and keep them up to date.
- Login credentials must be kept confidential. Users are responsible for activity in their account.
- ParaBook may temporarily suspend or terminate accounts in case of abuse, security risks or material breaches of these terms.
4. Free and Premium
ParaBook can be used free of charge on the Free plan. Premium unlocks additional features, higher limits or extended analyses. The concrete scope is shown in the plan overview before purchase.
ParaBook may adjust the scope of Free and Premium for the future. Already paid premium periods will not be arbitrarily devalued.
5. Contract via Stripe
Premium orders are completed via Stripe Checkout. The contract is concluded when the checkout process is completed. Payment is processed by Stripe; Stripe may apply its own payment terms.
ParaBook does not store full credit card details on its own servers.
6. Prices, Payment and Invoices
The prices shown at checkout apply. Payments are due in advance for the selected billing period. Invoices and receipts are provided via Stripe.
All prices are final prices. Due to the small business regulation under Section 19 German VAT Act, VAT is not shown. ParaBook bears Stripe fees; any bank, card or currency fees charged to the user remain unaffected.
7. Term, Renewal and Cancellation
Premium subscriptions run for the selected monthly or annual billing period and renew automatically for the same period unless cancelled before expiry.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Premium remains active until then. Ordinary cancellation does not trigger a prorated refund. Cancellation is possible via the account, the Stripe Customer Portal or by email.
8. Consumer Withdrawal Right
Consumers have the statutory right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period begins on the day the contract is concluded.
To exercise the withdrawal right, the consumer must inform ParaBook by a clear statement, for example by email to info@parabook.cloud.
After a valid withdrawal, ParaBook will refund the payment via the original payment method and deactivate Premium access.
9. User Data, IGC Files and Rights
Users retain all rights to uploaded IGC files and other content. They grant ParaBook the rights required to provide the service, especially to store, process, analyze, display and back up the data within the user account.
User data is not published or shared without consent unless required to perform the contract, comply with legal obligations or protect the service. Users may only upload data they are authorized to use.
10. Acceptable Use
- No automated scraping without consent.
- No attacks, scans, circumvention of limits or other abuse.
- No uploads containing malware or unlawful content.
- No use for unauthorized monitoring of other persons.
- No account sharing or commercial resale without permission.
11. Availability, Maintenance and Changes
ParaBook strives to operate reliably. Uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. Maintenance, updates, technical faults or external outages may temporarily affect use.
12. Analyses, Maps, Scoring, Forecasts and WPRS
ParaBook provides analyses, statistics, map views, scoring calculations, competition data, forecasts and ranking predictions automatically. This information may be incomplete, outdated or incorrect and is for personal information only.
Only official sources, organizers, competition rules, CIVL/FAI data or other competent bodies are authoritative. ParaBook does not replace pilot judgment, weather checks or safety-relevant decisions.
13. Liability
ParaBook is fully liable for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. In cases of simple negligence, ParaBook is liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations and limited to foreseeable, contract-typical damage.
Mandatory statutory liability, especially under product liability law, remains unaffected.
14. Privacy
Information about personal data processing is available in the Privacy Policy.
15. Cancellation, Downgrade and Data
After Premium expires, the account reverts to Free. Premium features are deactivated. Data generally remains stored in the account; where Free limits apply, older or additional flights may be visible or usable only in a limited way.
Account deletion can be initiated via the settings. Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
16. Changes to These Terms
ParaBook may change these terms where required due to new features, legal requirements or technical changes. Users will be informed of material changes. Material changes to ongoing contracts give users a special right to cancel.
17. Final Provisions
German law applies. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected. If one provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain effective.
